The park features over 840 kilometers of hiking trails and as many as 69 mountain peaks spread across its territory. <\/span>We\u2019ve selected a few easier as well as more demanding hikes that you can enjoy during your stay at Hotel Ski & Wellness Residence Dru\u017eba.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Vrbick\u00e9 Pleso<\/h2>\n

One of the best easy walks<\/a> in the area is around Vrbick\u00e9 Pleso, located just a few minutes from the hotel. You won\u2019t even need a car\u2014the hike can start right outside the hotel reception. If you\u2019re planning the trip with small children, we recommend starting directly from the level of the glacial lake itself for the easiest and most comfortable route.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Vrbick\u00e9 Pleso is the largest natural lake in the Low Tatras, measuring approximately 115 meters in length and reaching depths of up to 8 meters. A circular hiking trail marked first in yellow and later in blue runs around the lake. The walk begins at the Jasn\u00e1 \u2013 Biela P\u00fa\u0165 trail junction at the end of Dem\u00e4novsk\u00e1 Valley<\/a>. The entire loop takes no more than an hour. Along the way, you can relax on benches and enjoy beautiful views of the Low Tatras ridgeline.<\/p>\n

Sin\u00e1<\/h2>\n

The hike to Sin\u00e1 is more challenging than a casual walk, but it\u2019s still far from a demanding alpine climb. Standing at 1,560 meters above sea level, Sin\u00e1 is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful peaks in the western part of the Low Tatras. The reward at the top is a breathtaking panoramic view over the entire Liptov basin.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The hike to this lesser-known peak starts at the Dem\u00e4novsk\u00e1 Dolina \u2013 Cave of Liberty bus stop. You can easily get there from the hotel either by car or by using regular bus connections. From the Repisk\u00e1 junction, the yellow trail leads all the way to Sedlo Sinej. Expect a steep climb and narrow switchback trails winding through the mountainside. The entire round trip along the same route usually takes between four and five hours.<\/p>\n

Chopok<\/h2>\n

No hiking recommendations in this area would be complete without mentioning Chopok<\/a>\u2014the region\u2019s most famous peak, attracting thousands of skiers and snowboarders every winter. At 2,024 meters above sea level, Chopok is the second-highest mountain in the Low Tatras and offers excellent infrastructure and accessibility. You can begin the ascent directly from the hotel, and the climb to the summit generally takes around two hours, depending on your fitness level and pace on the steep elevation gain.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

From the hotel, simply follow the Biela P\u00fa\u0165 ski slope and continue uphill along the marked trail. It\u2019s a straightforward route, so there\u2019s very little chance of getting lost. If you\u2019re planning the trip with children<\/a>, you can comfortably take the cable car close to the summit and walk the final stretch from the Chopok upper station to the rocky peak on foot. If you usually visit Jasn\u00e1 during winter, you\u2019ll especially appreciate seeing the mountain landscape in its completely different summer scenery.<\/p>\n

\u010eumbier<\/h2>\n

From Chopok, you can continue directly to the highest peak of the Low Tatras. The red ridge trail leads past Kamenn\u00e1 Chalet, through Dem\u00e4novsk\u00e9 Saddle and Kr\u00fapova Ho\u013ea, all the way to \u010eumbier at 2,043 meters above sea level. The round trip from Chopok to \u010eumbier and back can be completed in around four hours. Thanks to the open ridgeline terrain, you\u2019ll enjoy panoramic views stretching across much of central and northern Slovakia.<\/p>\n

Hikers in good physical condition can start directly from the hotel and complete both Chopok and \u010eumbier in a single day. For less experienced hikers, we recommend taking the cable car up to Chopok and doing the ridge hike separately at a more comfortable pace. Whichever option you choose, make sure to start early in the morning, bring enough water, and be prepared for rapidly changing mountain weather and potentially harsh conditions along the ridge.
