Route no. 3: Hotel Družba**** – Sedlo Poľany – Chopok – Hotel Družba****
The third route we have chosen for you is one of medium difficulty, with an elevation gain of up to 850 meters and will take you 5 to 6 hours. The beginning is again the same as on the first two routes, so it goes from the hotel to Tri Vody. From there, however, you will continue along the tourist sign towards Sedlo Poľany. After about 30 minutes, tall spruces will replace only sparse forest, deciduous shrubs and you will also find delicious cranberries. Continue along the serpentines to the ridge. This is where the most interesting part of this route begins. You will soon reach Sedlo Poľany, from where you will continue to Chopok along the main ridge of the Low Tatras. From these places you can enjoy wonderful views of the whole of Slovakia. You will see not only the whole of Liptov, but also the ridges of the Western and High Tatras, and on the south side the Banská Bystrica region. With a little luck, you will also meet chamois that live in these places. They have become accustomed to tourists over the years, so it will not be unusual if you manage to take a picture of them from a very close distance. From Chopok, you can finally reach the Biela Púť and back to the Ski & Wellness Residence Družba **** hotel on the hiking trail that leads through the ski slopes.
